Cannot migrate 6.0 windows Vcenter to 6.5 appliance.

Migration fails with "inventory service is using a custom port 10081"   So i change this in dataservice.properties back to the default 10080 ( dataservice.http.port=10081) and vcenter refuses to start, failing to connect ot thee inventory service, I cannot however find where this is configured in Vcenter. Any ideas?

that is just the article that explains how to change the port for the inventory service itself.. The problem is when i do that, vcenter service will not start as it is expecting to find the inventory service on the original port ( in this case 10081)

OK.. I understand..

I am not sure but I think a re-registration of the services will the correct URL should work.

please take a snapshot of the vcenter with memory before trying the same
