Can't start VM

Hello *,

I want to start a VM as a privileged user but it doesn't work.

I have configured a role with the Power On right and when I right-klick on the VM I am able to klick on Power On but then nothing happens. Any idea what's wrong?

Kind regards,

Marc

Thank you for the KB article!

In fact the problem was that the cluster's DRS option was set to "manually". So when the user has started the VM there should pop up the question on which ESXi server the VM shall run. Because the user had no permisson to the hosts, he couldn't start the VM. I have set the DRS option to "fully automated" and now he is able to start the VM's.

Have a nice weekend,

Marc
