Can't connect host to vCenter

When trying to connect the latest ESXi 6.0 u3a to vCenter 6.0 u3c i'm getting an error: "A general system error occured: Timed out waiting for vpxa to start." I tried this:VMware Knowledge Base , but it didn't help.

do you have other hosts connected to vcenter 6.0 u3c?

are there any running VMs on this host?

can you telnet host from vCenter on 902? port 902 UDP should also be allowed

share the hostd.log file from the host after it fails.

The ESXi host is connected to vCenter anytime or is disconnected now?

Can you check if you have any VM running with large number of snapshots residing on that ESXi host?

Thanks,

MS

There are no other hosts connected to this vCenter, the only vm on this host is vCenter that i'm trying to connect to. Telnet connects to the host on port 902.

Hello Gary,

Can you try adding the host to vcenter and then check the vpxd log on vcenter and hostd log on the ESXi host at the same time or share the logs.

Thanks

MS
