I can't change Advanced vCenter Server Settings with the Administrator account, only view grey settings.
if need more details about it, plz leave a common. tkx
Hi @bbc250 ,
What version of vCenter are you using by the way?
Also, you cannot directly edit the advanced settings. You would have to open up a window with "Edit Settings" to actually be able to edit the settings. As far as I can see it looks like you don't have that in your vSphere Client. This could be because a browser issue, so please try another browser, or because of the version you are using. Also please try and use the Flash Client.
tks for replying.
6.7, both ESXi and VCSA
By the way, how to open up a windows with "Edit Settings" mode? I can't find it upper right .😅
And I can't browse the flash version, even thought I had installed flash add-on with IE. After log-in, the page is a blank page.
@sjesse I also had tried. It can't work 🤔
I try to recall which setting, I modified before, could cause this unusual problem: password strength? 5480 background? ......
In addition, My VCSA runs on ESXi. Could the corruption of vmdk file cause this problem? But most functions of web client are work well.
What version are you one and are the available updates? Seems in the instance here it was fixed by an update
Nothing you did can cause this specific issue as far as I am aware. Like I and others have said, what version are you on (specific) and can you update?
Hi @bbc250 ,
No those are the Flash versions, I actually meant the vCenter Server version + build number. You can find this under:
Home -> Hosts and Clusters -> Root vCenter -> Summary -> Version Information. Or from the VAMI home page.
