Can I update Safely?

I installed the trial version of vCenter and ran a scan on my one and only host. It is an HPE ProLiant and is running the ProLiant version of ESXi 6.5

Question is can I safely update this from vCenter without causing issues as it is not the standard 6.5 version?

Technically you can do that, but beaware there is issue with esxi 6.5 Update 1 specially for HP servers.

What is the vCenter and ESXI version you are running ? What is the HP server model and generation? Was it HP customized image installed on server ?

ESXi 6.5.0 Build 4564106, vCenter 6.5.0 4602587. The server is ProLiant DL360P Gen9 and yes it was the HP customized image installed.

There's issue going on with HPE servers when you apply update, please check

Update manager still shows 6.5 Update 1 needed even though host is running 6.5 U1 installed from HPE...
