Hello,
Our VMware environment looks after our file servers for 3 different countries and my boss wants to charge these countries back and he has asked:
Can you tell me how much of the over all used CPU is used for specific servers dedicated to Ireland and Spain (individually), just measure it at a peak time on a peak day? I need the file servers cpu compared with the overall total cpu used for any durration you can get it for eg 1 hour.
It's a little confusing, but is this type of report possible in vCenter?
I have just asked if he means the file servers CPU utilisation usage compared with the total CPU available usage on the host it resides?
With vrealize operations manager this task would be simple.
But I don't have this, can Vcenter help at all?
Help you
I can easily get the CPU info of a VM, but can I somehow compare it to the available CPU capacity of the host it is on?
