From the perspective of availability, I am trying to obtain best practice guidance on running VCSA / PSC on VVOL's or should it be avoided and placed on a traditional LUN? The VASA is not a VM but embedded into the storage (EMC Unity).
I would avoid placing the PSCs or vCs on VVols even though the VASA provider isn't a virtual appliance. It adds too much unnecessary overhead and makes troubleshooting harder.
