Backup of resource pools

Hi,

I had a problem with the VC and can't recover from backup.

I have the backup files, where can I find the structure of my resource pools and permissions from the backup files of my VC?

Thank you

Hi,

I need to get it from the backup files, I'm taking a backup every week from the backup service of the appliance, I need to get the details from the files  (https://vc:5480) >> FTP backup files.

Thanks reply and understood.

Is this your situation?

  • Your vCenter Server can’t boot up
  • You tried restore it from backup but it failed.
  • You woule like to know your RP config from the taken backup file.

So, the resource pool disable way cant use at your situation, right?

I have never search a specific data from the file based backup.

By the way, how did your vCenter Restore failed? I think if you can recover vCenter from backup, it may be better for you.
