Hi,
I had to revert to a snapshot of my VDP Server (rollback failed, after VDP server didn't come back up after a power cut).
Now when I try and create a new backup job for a VM (which was partially through being backed up at the point of the power cut), I get the following message:
Backup job was created successfully, but the system failed to add following clients to the job.
ukfs2 -> ERROR accessing domain:/ukvcenter.****/VirtualMachines client:ukfs2.
Cannot create client /ukvcenter.****/VirtualMachines/ukfs2_UCnmSTOYe0YDJiCYh77ayg because name is already in use at cid 568749e807d6d48c30208f2785908486ea78515a
So the job is created, but there are no sources in it, so it won't run.
I read https://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=20598...https://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=20598...
But when I run:
mccli client show --recursive
There are no clients for the VM named ukfs2, so I can't run:
mccli client retire ...
How to I fix this?
Many thanks,
jhc
I'm running VDP version 6.0, and VDP is currently running other pre-existing backup jobs as expected, all status looks normal.
Same problem here ....how did you fix that ?
same problem here. cannot retire problematic vm as its not in the list..
