Backslash key producing hash symbol

Hi,

Since upgrading to vSphere 6.0 I've not been able to generate the symbol '\' from the keyboard on the login screen of a VM via the Web Client console within IE or Chrome on Windows 8.1.

All regional settings for the VM are set to UK but instead of the '\' I get '#'. I've tried all combinations of keys and just cannot find this. Seems this is a common issue for Mac users but has only just started being an issue since the recent upgrade.

Any ideas?

I have the same issue on ESXi 6.5u1 with Chromium on Linux. I can't use Firefox as that has another error when I try to edit the VM settings.

Not surprised that this has not been sorted by VMware yet.

I like others decided to download and install the VMRC Console as a workaround.
