Attempting to reconnect an ESXi host that appears as Disconnected in vCenter Server fails with the error: Timed waiting for vpxa to start. This happens for vCenter version 6.5

Attempting to reconnect an ESXi host that appears as Disconnected in vCenter Server fails with the error: Timed waiting for vpxa to start

Symptoms

  • The ESXi host appears as disconnected in vCenter Server 6.5
  • Attempting to reconnect the host fails
  • You see the error:

A general system error occurred: Timed waiting for vpxa to start

Can any one please help me !!!!

What is your esxi version?
