Are passwords for User Configurations under Host Profile, being encrypted/encoded before being stored?

Hi,
I'm trying to retrieve the password set for the root user (or any other user) under 'User Configurations' of 'Security' section.
In 6.0, I was able to see the password using Managed Object Browser. For 6.5, the password is hidden.

Seems to me like a security enhancement was rolled out for 6.5 which encrypts the password before storing it. However, I couldn't find any mention of it in the documentation or release notes.
Is the password being encrypted/encode? Is there any documentation regarding the same?
Is there any way I can retrieve my password? Maybe a method call from MOB or SDK?
Thanks.

Hello,

Please see the KB https://kb.vmware.com/kb/2108405

Starting with vSphere 6.0 the Managed Object Browser is disabled by default to avoid malicious configuration changes or actions. You can enable and disable the Managed Object Browser manually.
