Active Directory Web Service port 8089

I am trying to install vCenter 5.0 on a Windows Server 2008 R2 machine in out environment. We have an environment-wide piece of software which uses port 8089 and this is stopping ADWS from starting and therefore stopping vCenter from working. This KB article:

http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=200715...

says I need to change the other application, implying that I can't change the port used by vCenter.

Is this true? Is there a supported way to configure vCenter to use another port.

or linux or Microsoft.

Practically we have seen exceltional some times it works.

so please make sure your firewall or other securities software not blocking
