A question about vCenter 5.5 minor upgrade

Hello,

One of our cutomers has three sites each with its separate vCenter. All three locations have vCenter major v. 5.5 but two of there have fully identical vCenter version - 5.5.0 3252642, when third has slightly newer version of vCenter - 5.5.0 3721164. All vCenter servers are Windows 2012 R2 base (not virtual appliances) and all were installed with Simple setup aption with all components - single Sign-on, Web Client, Inventory Service. Currently I want to align all three vCenter servers to the identical version (including all components) due to DR project in the nearest future. My question is - will it be enough if I only start installer of the newest vCenter iso on the older servers and click Install (it asks for vCenter upgrade in this case)? Is is a correct way to upgrade all other components (single Sign-On and Inventory service) as well or there is some other way to do it?

Many thanks in advance!

Nikolay

Yes, just make sure follow the best practices, like take snapshot and database backup before start the upgrade: Upgrading to vCenter Server 5.5 best practices (2053132) | VMware KB
