2008 server cpu

i have 2008 r2 standart server. how many vcpu can I  give this server max ? is there any limit ?

yes but i didnt find ? did you find it . can i give 16 vcpu to 2008 r2 ?  i use 6.5 u2 vcenter

As long as it is in 4 sockets or less, yes.

I don't know what "true configuration" means. You're displaying 4 vCPUs in one socket.

What you want to configure in this case is 16 vCPUs, and 4 Cores per Socket.

Cores per socket divides the number of vCPUs.
