Hi,
I have a design/install question
We purchased 2 essentials plus packages and have installed 1 Vcenter 6.0 server to manage 3 hosts(first site, no shared storage).
We are currently working on the second site that will have 3 hosts with share storage. When i start the Vcenter install I have the option of joining a single sign on domain and join an existing site(single sign on site) I am not positive what restrictions the essentials plus package gives me. I believe these 2 sites would be separate and not have the ability to communicate with each other including fail over?
Thank you
Unless I'm missing something, vCenter Essentials do not support Enhanced Linked Mode, so you will need to deploy the vCenter at second site isolated from the SSO domain at the primary site. To failover virtual machines between different sites you will need another VMware product called Site Recovery Manager (SRM), read more about SRM here: https://www.vmware.com/content/dam/digitalmarketing/vmware/en/pdf/products/srm/vmware-site-recovery-...
