1 HDD from shared storage showing offline in IBM Storwize v3700

Hello Team ,

  We are using IBM Storwize v3700 as shared storage , last night its showing error with 1 HDD , we have total of 24 HDD , 15th HDD showing problem we kept 18th hdd as spare , now that's in active mode , Storage configured with Raid 5 option.With in 2 days I will get new hdd from vendor , I hope nothing to do , just insert the new hdd to the slot that will automatically taken as spare , I have post this concern here for clarification , any storage expert who is dealing with these version please advise . Thanks in advance .

You don't need to worry about this from the vSphere perspective, since the physical disks failures is handled by the storage controller (node canister) and it is transparent to the vSphere. But of course that replace the failed disk as soon possible is very recommended.
