VMware Tools cannot be upgraded for some devices - error code = 21009

When trying to upgrade some devices I get the error message "vix error code = 21009"

I don't find much explanations about this error and what to do about it.

Anyone experienced this message before?

85% of the VM's were succesfully upgraded.

Try below things,

Uninstalling VMware tools from  add remove program.

Reinstalling using -f /force switch

reboot system & try using different user for reinstalling.
