I have a server with 2 physical Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2630 0 @ 2.30GHz.
Sockets 2
Cores per socket 6
Logical processors 24
I'm creating a virtual machine for my database, and it uses a lot of processor.
I would like some suggestions on how best to take advantage of this hardware for the VM.
Today only the database will run on this HOST.
I was thinking of configuring it as follows
CPU: 8
Cores per Socket: 2
