we have dc 7800 machines : 2 cores , 4 GB RAM , 150 GB and running xp .We have 2 workstation machine on them which the users can use but one machine at a time. Each virtual machine has been allocated 50 GB fixed disk space and about 2.5 GB memory and assuming the remainin will be used by XP.
Since the machines are pretty grunty but we have noticed that some users have issues , example , opening files are slow at times , copying files are slow as well. We use bridged networking .
Can someone give me ideas on best practice for creating virtual workstation machines , how much memory or disk space to allocated .... Workstation version 6 .0
Any one with ideas and tips would be owsome
