workstation 9 windows 2000 mouse delay

Hello. I just installed win2k in vmware workstation 9 and vmware tools afterwards but I have some problems with mouse. When I move it across desktop it seems fine but, for example, when I left-click an icon and drag it it's delayed. Or when I browse a website and move the scroll bar up/down the scrolling is delayed. Or when I go to start menu and then move my mouse over the programs that I have installed the "highlight" effect is delayed. Etc....

Maybe I didn't set enough RAM for the guest? Is 1.5 gb enough? My host OS is windows 7 with 4 GB RAM so how much should I give to guest OS?

Or maybe it's normal for mouse to be this delayed?

Thanks in advance.

1)  For Windows 2000 1.5GB RAM might actually be too much!  We are talking pre-Windows XP which runs fine in 256K.

2)  Install VMware -Tools.  See if that helps.
