where is the checksum for VMware-workstation-full-16.1.0-17198959

### can't it be on the download page where it's supposed to be. Why should i even buy this product if they aren't even going to bother providing the info necessary to install it?

 

Tech companies ####. They are redefining tyranny and every single one of them operates with a complete disregard for the customer. They have no problem forcing potential customers to jump through hoops for hours find the answer to basic questions.

Right-click the executable → Properties → Digital signatures, you should see two digital signatures here; double-click either of them, and if the window that opens says "This digital signature is OK," you know that the file wasn't tampered with. Windows also automatically verifies this signature when you download the file (or when you try to run it the first time), and will warn you if the check didn't pass.

that's not the question i asked.I asked where the checksums are. But at least your answer was better than customer service. some chick that could barely speak english gave me this response"This problem is technical in nature so you'll just have to figure it out on your own". Like asking where the location of something on the website requires a scientist  to answer. India is providing great customer service, as always.
