i found 2 issues with the kernel modules from vmware-tools:
vmxnet: virtual nic doesn`t work after hibernate/resume, i.e. if i do s2disk /dev/sda1 to suspend my vm from within linux, after resume the nic doesn`t work anymore. i need to rmmod/insmod vmxnet to make it work again.
vmhgfs: this module seems to cause a problem with hibernate/resume - if this module is loaded, hibernate fails (i.e. the hibernation process stops)
this happens with workstation 6.5 and opensuse 11.1 beta
