I get a failure that is the same as reported in the vmware fusion forum at:
Please report this problem by selecting menu item Help > VMware on the Web > Request Support, or by going to the Web page "xxxxx". Please provide us with the log file (xxxxx) and the core file(s) (xxxxx, xxxxx).
If the problem is repeatable, please set 'Logging level' to 'Debug' in the 'Misc' panel of Virtual Machine Settings. Then reproduce the incident and file it according to the instructions.
To collect data to submit to VMware support, choose "Collect Support Information" from the Help menu.
You can also run "/Library/Application Support/VMware Fusion/vm-support.tool" directly.

I've attached the support file here. I would like to see a patch or workaround so I can get win8 dev preview running without havining to use another vm system like vbox.Note that buyining vmware 8 is not an option for me due to reported issues with it at this time.
