virtualize host workstation is running on

Running workstation 10.0.7 on win10 home host. I would like to create a virtual machine from this host. Any hints or things to watch out for?

The new VM will be created on an external USB drive.

Do I need to turn off or disable any security services on the host first?

Hi,

If your host is a laptop and has synaptic software installed then uninstall that before running the P2V process, otherwise you most likely won't be able to use mouse and keyboard in the VM.
