usb.autoConnect.device0 doesn't work

I'm using VMware® Workstation 16 Pro

I add usb.autoConnect.device0 = "vid:0XXX pid:0XXX" in .vmx file to automatically connect my wireless keyboard and mouse, but it doesn't work. log file shows as below. I also tried another logitech keyboard, the same result. But it works on a USB stick.

Can somebody help on this? I tried google and seems no solutions till now.

I'm just guessing here, but by default Workstation doesn't let you connect USB input devices – try enabling "Show all USB input devices" in VM Settings → USB Controller.
