upgrading to windows 7 from Vista and the network

After the upgrading to windows 7 from Vista my VMachine dosn't connect the network. this is the message:

"Could not connect Ethernet0 to virtual network "VMnet0". More information can be found in the vmware.log file.

Failed to connect virtual device Ethernet0."

Any Ideas to solve?

Thanks!

Hi and welcome to the forums!

After the upgrading to windows 7 from Vista

...there is your first problem. Smiley Happy I never upgrade between versions of Windows. I always backup my user data and reinstall from scratch as the chances for strange interactions between drivers/software is too great for me. If you have spent more than a few hours troubleshooting this problem you should consider rebuilding from scratch.

my VMachine dosn't connect the network. this is the message:

"Could not connect Ethernet0 to virtual network "VMnet0". More information can be found in the vmware.log file.

Failed to connect virtual device Ethernet0."

If you attach the vmware.log file to a reply we can take a look and see if there is anything obvious.

Any Ideas to solve?

If you truly did an in-place upgrade from Windows Vista to Windows 7, please try uninstalling VMware Workstation, rebooting your host, and reinstalling VMware Workstation.

I've solved, without reinstalling!

I restored the Virtual Network setting from the button of its form,

was much easier than I and You was thinking!

Thanks however

Nick
