I'm running VMWorkstation 8 on a Linux host. As a guest I'm running Windows7-64. Playing sounds over the build in virtual sound card, the sounds will play too fast (almost 6%). Using a USB-sound device (e.g Bose soundlink), everything runs fine. The problem is not tight to one media player.
