share and upload a vm fails with workstation8

currently, i cant neither upload a newly created vm to an ESXi host or share this vm.

When i try to share the wizard stops with

---------------------------
VMware Workstation Error
---------------------------
VMware Workstation unrecoverable error: (vthread-5)
NOT_IMPLEMENTED d:/build/ob/bora-528992/bora/lib/disklib/diskLib.c:1233

The upload to an already connected ESXi5 host fails after selecting the right datastore on this host with a message box

"Upload failed: Curl error: Couldn't resolve host name.", which appears to be sensless because datastores has been retrieved correctly

PC: Windows7 64bit, Worstation 8.0.1, ESXi 5.0.0 Dell custom build

Any suggestions for any of both issues available?

I've got the exact same problem. I've got a support case open and am waiting to hear back. Forward and reverse DNS lookups succeed for my ESX host, vCenter server, and workstation. I have no idea what's going on.

Did anyone find a solution to this problem? It is still happening in my environment.

ESXi 5.0

Virtual Center 5.0

VMware Workstation 9

Try to download a virtual machine and get the error:

curl error: couldn't resolve host name

I see in the release notes it says to use the FQDN of the host, which I have.
