set expiration of VM using VMWare workstation 10

Hi Everyone,

I want to set expiration of VM in VMWare workstation but I don't want to restrict hardware settings. Is there a way to set only VM expiration?

Sure, just enable expiration from the VM's "Access Control settings in the "Options" tab and set the expiration date. Optionally you can configure "Advanced ..." settings after enabling expiration.

Hi Andre,

In my vmware workstation, In order to enable "Disable the Virtual machine After" feature, I have to enable restrictions first otherwise it's not letting me select Disable the virtual machine feature. Can you please clarify how to do it?

Sorry, I guess I was wrong. I didn't think of the restriction that need to be enabled, and after reviewing the option I see that you are right. The expiration is indeed only available for restricted machines.
