serial 30 day trial

I have downloaded the latest workstation tar ball and was sent a serial but its not being accepted

I WAS suprised when I ran the script I was asked for the serial number.

When i powered up the vm I was FOR THE serial so I tried to enter in the pull down box but its not being accepted.

I'm having the same problem as you Ricky. But I made sure to copy/paste the serial number. But it still won't accept it.

clem, are you certain that you asked for a serial for the appropriate host platform? Windows host serials and Linux host serials are different.

I think so. I am new to this. When I tried starting my VM, it told me that the license didn't exist or had expired. But as I've been reading, I realized that it was sending me a serial # for VMware Workstation 6[/b]. I have version 5.5.0. So, I'm downloading the current version. That may have been my problem.

That'd do it too. Serials from v5 and v6 are different formats, too.
