"a needed file was not found" ace workstation problem

First off, this is my first post. There is a lot of great information here, thanks in advance for any help you guys/gals might offer.

I have a new workstation vm made, through VMware Workstation Ace edition.

Its been fully patched (windows xp) and is running smoothly. Vmware tools are of course installed.

When I go to create a new pocket ace image to put on my 8 gb thumb drive (yes, there is enough space, i managed that aspect when i created the vm the first time) it gets to the point of creating it, and then says "a needed file was not found"

Its right after the package summary page.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Ryan

I actually resolved the problem. Not necessarily in the way I had hoped. I read somewhere else that this issue, or a similar issue was resolved by making a linked clone, and just packaging the clone. It worked flawlessly for me.

Now if I can just find a way to slim down my XP pro sp2 image to something less than 7gb.

Thanks
