"Unable to copy the license..." error on entering the license key for VMware Workstation Pro 16

After entering license key to a license key edit and after pressing OK getting error message:

[dcasrcc]

I'm experiencing the same thing, does this issue have a solution??

In my case it was caused by expired key.
