"Network Magic" can't find router, netw adapter within VM cont. XPProSP2 ?

Anybody use Network Magic? (Program to monitor LAN.)

When I use within VM containing XPProSP2, it cannot see router and says there is no network adapter. Identical VM containing Win200ProSP4 works fine. Using Bridged and VM Workstation 5.5. Host is WinXP Media Center SP2.

IE 7.0 brings up Linksys SRX200 router fine at 192.168.1.1 and also my DSL Modem at 192.168.0.1 and also www.yahoo.com. Even AOL works fine.

Network Magic service says must be something in VMware simulated network adapter.

I'm not a VM network specialist but there are some in this forum, however this seems like a firewall problem otherwise Windows 2000 wouldn't work either.

I'm just beginning to test Network Magic myself. I would love to share any info I get or that anyone else shares.
