"Generate" button grey/unavailable to change mac address from vmware settings.

When I created this virtual machine today I had no problems being able to click the generate button, now all of a sudden the button is grey and im unable to click on it. Why? I never changed anything...

- Can't even change hard disk advanced settings anymore, its all grey lol

What's your VM status? power off or suspend?

Please make sure the VM is power-off before doing following:

1. Shutdown VM.

2. Right click the VM in library, and select "Open VM directory"

3. Close workstation UI.

4. If there have subfolder in your VM's directory, named as [VMName].vmx.lck or [VMName].vmrest.lck, delete them

5. Restart Workstation,  and try to change the mac address.
