not able to boot from CDROM (after installing OS)

Hi,

I have used ISO file to install Server 2012,

now I want to upgrade it to 2016, I have inserted the ISO 2016 into the VM, but not able to boot from it:

when I enter on EFI CDROM, nothing happens

However, when I boot from this OS 2012, and I go to CDROM, it is working fine:

any way to fix this ?

Create a brand new dummy Win2016 VM with EFI-firmware and check if that boots from your ISO-file.
Maybe the ISO you have does not have the files to boot via EFI.

Actually I did that, by installing new Server 2016 using the same ISO, it is working very well.

Maybe you somehow misconfigured the EFI-firmware.
To reset it to factory defaults you can delete the *.nvram file.
Also configure your CDrom to use SATA 0:0 instead of SATA 1:0
