no sound on opensuse Tumbleweed guest on Windows10 host

My laptop and desktop have Intel hardware. Both run Tumbleweed as a guest on a Windows10 host. Sound works on host but not on either guest.

VM Settings shows connected and connected at power on enabled, use default host sound card.

Yast shows a sound blaster sound card.

Can you tell me how to enable sound on my virtual machines?

Thank you.

I wanted to add one point:

   speaker-test -Dplug:front -c2 -l1 -twav plays correctly

speaker-test -c2 -l1 -twav makes random clicks and noises

This suggests to me that it could play sound if it was configured properly.
