Welcome to the forums!

You need to have the default gateway removed in your guest OS? Which guest OS do you use?

by guest you mean the os that vmware ws installed on its windows 7 64 ultimate, (its connected to home-router by lan and gets ip from the router dhcp).

inside workstation i installed the ngx and configure it with NAT nic and give it ip manualy (ip=172.21.101.1,mask=255.255.0.0,dg=172.21.101.2)

The term guest referrs to the virtual machine running under VMware on some host.

Yes, but where do you want to remove the DG?

As the guest get's its IP from a DHCP server, give it a static one without DG.

As you use DHCP:

ipconfig /release

ipconfig /renew

I removed it by using the CLI. It seemed to work flawlessly. Just make sure you make a backup of the file before changing it.

vi /etc/vmware/esx.cfg

You can do a quick search by typing /gateway

Delete the IP inside of the brackets

/net/routes/kernel/gateway = "192.168.200.200" or whatever you IP is.

So when you are done, it should look something like this

# Deleted the IP address of the Gatway 1/30/2011

# who did it

/net/routes/kernel/gateway =""

:wq! to save and exit. Then, restart VMware with service mgmt-vmware restart which didn't seem to do one thing for me, so I moved the VM's off of the server, put it into maintenance mode and restarted the server. When it came back up. It was DEFINITELY now gone.:smileycool:
