my data deleted while rolling out installation

Hello Anyone please help,

I have installed vmware workstation version 6.5.3 on my windows 10 and trying to install on my external hard drive, 

While installing the installation wizard  shows some error and performed the rolling back action, during this rolling back action wizard wiped away all of my personal datas from my external hard drive.

How di i recover those datas , is there any way to recover from VM cloud or anything.

Please let me know
