ms-dos vm under windows xp and map virtual disk

Hello, I have a synchronization problem in mapped drives.

I have installed a virtual machine ms-dos in vmware workstation and installed vmware on windows xp, operating system physical pc.

I have maped with z: letter the msdos vm hard disk.

When i create a folder or file in ms-dos vmware y change with ctrl+alt to windows operating system and I can not see changes.

anyone can help me please?

Do you mean that you've mounted the VM's virtual disk on the host while the VM is running?

Don't do that. Operating systems typically don't expect that local disks will change from underneath them.

If you want to share files between your DOS VM and your host, you either should power the VM off and mount the disk, or you can try using third-party tools so that you can use Shared Folders (for example, http://chitchat.at.infoseek.co.jp/vmware/vmtools.html ).
