host: Windows XP
guest: Linux 2.6
filesystem in guest: ext3
On host http://www.fs-driver.org/ is installed, it's "normally" working well.
I've mounted the virtual harddisk, this is normally also working well when using FAT or NTFS.
But on the mount screen ( http://www.fs-driver.org/images/ScreenIfsDrives.gif ) I can not find the virtual harddisk because it's not "real enough". Also in Windows Disk Management the harddisk does not show up.

The problem also when using encrypting on a virtual harddisk. It can be mounted in the virtual machine without problems but if it's mounted on host the encryption software is not able to find it. (only finds devices also shown in Windows Disk Management)

Is there any way to get able to work with the mounted harddisk with more low level tools?
Otherwise where can I make a feature request?
I am looking for that since years as I'd like to put a pagefile on a vmdk mounted by the host.
To my best knowledge there is no way to do that.
AFAIK the only imagetype that can be mounted which may appear in diskmanagement is SDI
