linux guest on a linux host wont auto-fit

Hi All;

I have a Fedora9 guest that I copied from a mac (was running it via vmware fusion) to a Linux host (Fedora 10) running workstation 6.5.1

I installed the vmware tools after I did the copy and the guest runs fiine but It will not autofit the window for me so the guest window is much larger than the screen.

vmware tools seem to be working since I can move the mouse in & out of the vm/guest without doing a ctl-alt

Thoughts ?

Thx

I'm speaking from Fusion experience, but expect it to largely be the same in Workstation.

On some guests, especially more modern ones, this isn't a good indicator that Tools is running - some configurations will have this behavior without installing Tools. A better test would be something like drag-and-drop or a HGFS shared folder.

Did you have Tools configured in Fusion? If so, did you try just running the virtual machine without attempting to reinstall Tools?
