linux guest display resolution doesn't keep on 1680x1050

my lcd display supports a resolution of 1680x1050, when i change the resolution on suse 11.2 guest to monitor native resolution after a system restart it comes back to 800x600

vmware tools was installed with guest

how can i solve this issue to run the os in full screem mode?

Have you set the desired resolution in the KDE cotrol center, already? In case that you use KDE....
