how to connect my computer to a domain?

Hi.

I can't to connect my compuer to a domain.

I checked the pinging and i got a reply to the windows server .

After i'm getting to My Computer, and then click Properties. The System Properties .

I click on " change" and when i'm trying to click on the " Domain" i can't becouse it's closed.

I can only choose the workgroup.

How can i open the choose "Domain"?

Hi Richardson.

I have two machines on my Vmware :

1. Windows server 2012 this is my DC

2.  Windows 7

The domain is in windows server 2012 and i want to in my windows 7 too the domain that i create in windows server 2012.

Please, confirm the edition of Windows 7 you're running. It is Professional, Enterprise, Ultimate, Home Basic ?

Hi.

After that i upgrade my windows 7 i'm trying to in the windows 7 in to the domain and after i choose member of: Domain, i right my domain name and after that i ger an error that said :

" an active directory domain controller for the domain "Rehov.com" could not be contacted .

ensure that the domain name is typed correctly.

if the name is correct click details for troubleshooting information."

I will appreciate your help about it.

Make sure the DNS settings of your Windows 7 VM is pointing to IP address of your AD/DNS server.
