Hi

You can clone it but it will not work 100 %

the easiest is to take it of the domain and then clone it and then joining both separately with diffrent names.

You would also need to change the pc's name so you don;t get a DNS conflict.

AD can't have two system with the same name. and Also DNS can have two pc with the same DNS names.

Hope this help

Thanks for reply.

The PC will not be on the same network. So it is fine if the DNS and other information copied as they are (that how it should be). I have 5 PC's and installing VMWARE to each and create one server 2003 and two XP pro as VM. The information should be anyway.

How can I clone it? Is there any catch?

Hi

As long as it is on a different network is should be fine. If it is joined to a domain I would sagest to remove it before you do the cloning..

Well the easiest I find is to just shutdown the vm, close VMware and then copy the folder to the new location. if you want to have it all in the same folder location you would need to copy it first to a new Folder like ~\VM\New\ then when it is done rename the folder and then move it back.

Let me know if there is anything ells I can help you with.
