host only network not working

no network when in host only network

"Host only" means that a VM will not be able to access the internet.
Please provide ipconfig output, check if the associated services are running and talk about your firewall.
The video you send was a waste and did not help at all - only useful detail was that you seem to use a Windows 11 VM ....

and the vmnet 1 is host only 

and the vmnet 8 is nat

Looks like you still use automatic bridging - disable that.

Assign a specific device to vmnet0

Automatic bridging only works if there is only one option 😎

Please explain what "it does not work" means.
Try to use expressions like VM X with IP a.b.c.d can not ping object Y with the IP w.x.y.z
