fax Server at VM Machine

i need help. i want to run fax server at vm machine but vmware never detect modem .is there any posibilty to run fax at vmware machine or any other virtualization software support it. like microsoft virtual server etc......

Is it a Winmodem? External modem?

From the FAQ:

>>Most PCI modems are Winmodems, and are not supported in a virtual machine. If it's an external modem and plugs into the serial port, it can usually be accessed as a generic serial device from within a virtual machine.
