hi ,I'm new with vmware station 10
I have installed windows server 2012 ,now i have this error "module disk early power on failed"
Please how I can fix it
Thank you
Welcome to the Community,
please close the VM's tab in VMware Workstation (or close VMware Workstation at all) and then verify that there are no .lck files or folders in the VM's directory.
André
hi yes there are vmdk.lck and vmx.lck
Thank you
Does the VM start after deleting the .lck files?
André
hi yes
thank you please i have an other problem
some time i can't start the vmware after that i suspend the state
Without knowing any details it's hard to say what's causing it. Do you receive any warnings or error messages when this happens?
Best bet would be open a new discussion with this issue and to attach the VM's vmware.log file to your post when this happens. You can attach files using the Advanced Editor (link in the upper right corner of the editor).
André
hi thank you and please what is your advice when i finished my work with vmware
(close or suspend)
Thank you
I usually cleanly shut down the guest operating systems/VMs.
André
Thank you
Thank you my friend, thank you
It works perfectly!! Tanks!!!
Hi,
should this occur to someone else with no .lck files, try to delete instead *-ctk.vmdk (or, better, move them 😉 )
Bye
Raf
Works perfectly
Thanks a lot!
Thank you very much! From Russia with love 😃

Has the VM ever worked this way, i.e. accessing it over a network share?
André
Is the first time install this machine, and this machine is connected that network.
I try install in other way.
Thanks,
Cheers
