When I first installed vmware, I ran it as 'sudo su; vmware' on ubuntu. It ran ok, but then I switched to running it as 'sudo vmware'.
This new incantation could not find the old images, so I tarred them from the old location to the new location. I had to re-enter the workstation key in the new location, but now it thinks it's not registered. Do I have to register it again?
Also, when I started WindowsXP in the new location, it wanted to know if I had moved or copied it? What's the difference? Does it effect MS registration (that I have not done yet)?
