You can use the same methods to do the reverse. It should be easier to convert to IDE, as you shouldn't have to worry about the disk controller.

Also, the latest version of the VMware Converter, 3.0.3, supports Acronis TrueImage formats. You may want to try using that to import your image into a VM.

If the original disk was larger than 8 Gb its really easy - just set geometry to 16383 x 16 x 63

If it was smaller post descriptor

Well, I did it that way:

1) Created another HDD with the "Add Hardware Wizard" in VMWare Settings: type IDE, size minimum the SCSI HDD

2) Booted the VM with actual "Ultimate Boot CD", started Tool "g4u" V1.17

3) Copied SCSI Disk to IDE Disk

4) Edited VMWare settings again: Removed the SCSI HDD, so IDE HDD is the only hard disk

5) Booted Windows 95, some drivers were installed automatically, then installed VMWare Tools, ready

Good luck
